Come one , come all to the 2023 Indoor Market at HERTH.  The indoor market will take place the second Saturday of each month.  Events are open between 10 am and 2:00 pm.  If interested in becoming a vendor or have questions abut the event, please call 231-534-4317.

Dance class at HERTHA Hall is a four week series every Wednesday starting 4/19/2023 at 6 pm

This dance class series will be taught by Nancy and Mel Kiogima.  The Kiogima's started their dancing career in the late 70s when Disco was at the height of popularity.  They are trained in Ballroom, Latin, Swing and Country Two-Step and teach dance (group, private and wedding) throughout northern Michigan.  In addition, they have taught and choreographed dance with the local non-profit, Swing Shift & the Stars for the past 14 years.  They are the owners of their own dance business, "Night Moves Social Dance".

The premise behind their instruction is a 6 count basic step.  Depending on the tempo of the music, this can be converted to double or single time.  This dance is often the first swing dance that is introduced to people because of it's simplicity, making it easy for a new dancer to learn dance basics.
